How is this different from the KOUNTR Bank Grade Bill Counter?
Both count a mixed stack and show the exact dollar total. The Bank Edition adds a second pocket, so a bill that doesn't pass drops out and the count keeps going instead of stopping. It also reads the serial number on every bill and can face bills for a deposit-ready stack. If you count a few drawers a day, the KOUNTR Bank Grade Bill Counter covers it. What goes into the second pocket?
Bills that don't pass a check, like a suspect note, a double or a bill it can't read. They drop into the second pocket and the screen counts them under REJECT, so you can check those few by hand.
What are the serial numbers for?
The counter reads each bill's serial number as it feeds through. It gives you a record of which bills went through, which helps when a count gets disputed.
Which currencies does it count?
US dollars, Mexican pesos, Canadian dollars, euros and British pounds. Switch between them with the CUR button.
What happens if a bill jams?
Square the stack and pull out paper clips, rubber bands and folded corners before it goes in. Heavily taped, torn or wet bills are best counted by hand. If a bill catches, clear it, set the stack back in the hopper and run it again. A counter that keeps jamming on normal bills is covered by the 1-year warranty.
Does it need cleaning?
Dust building up on the sensors is what makes a counter start misreading over time. If you count every day, wipe the sensors with a cleaning sponge every week or two and keep the counter covered overnight. The Care Kit has a dust cover and sensor-cleaning sponges.
What if it stops working or breaks?
Every KOUNTR has a 1-year warranty. If it fails from a defect in parts or workmanship within a year of delivery, we repair or replace it, and the replacement ships free. Email kountrsupport@gmail.com with your order number and a short video of the problem, and a person replies within 1 business day. In the first 30 days you can also return it for a full refund for any reason.
